Method: Step 1: Firstly, cut the butter into cubes and beat with a mixer until soft and looks light in colour.
Step 2: Sift the cocoa powder into the mixing bowl with butter and add the vanilla extract. Turn the mixer on slow speed and beat until the cocoa powder and extract are mixed into the butter.
Step 3: Add the powdered sugar and 1 tbsp of heavy cream and mix on medium speed until fully incorporated. Then turn up the mixer to medium-high and beat for another 2-3 minutes to whip additional air into the frosting.
Tips: If the frosting still seems thick, add additional 1 - 2 tbsp heavy cream.
