Vanilla Buttercream

Ingredients:
250g unsalted butter (room temperature)
500g icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp milk


Method:
Firstly, cut the butter into cubes and beat with a mixer until soft.

Next, add the icing sugar and beat until fully combined. A little tip here, it is best to add in the icing sugar gradually as you are mixing it. I do this by adding it in a spoonful at a time.

Add the vanilla extra and mix once again until fully combined and then add in your tbsp milk and again whisk.

Always, make sure to check the consistency of the icing, it should have a spreadable texture so similar to how butter can spread easily onto your bread. That is what you are looking for.

Tips: Vanilla buttercream can work for cupcakes, biscuits, cakes, or just for you to eat from a spoon!
